Dance Festival

Uniting People through Dance

Attend this year's festival featuring at least 14 dance showcases performed by professional dancers on October 18 and 19. With performances from hip-hop to contemporary and everything in between. Tickets went on sale August 18th at 7pm but you can get yours at a discounted price and we will try to deliver the tickets (minimum of 4) to you free if you email me back. Professional Ballet Master Class

The Lively Arts Foundation, Diane Mosier Artistic Director announces a professional
Ballet Master Class (Intermediate/Advanced) taught by Wes Chapman, Artistic Director of American Ballet Theatre II at noon on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in the dance studio located in the new Music building.

Later that evening American Ballet Theatre II will appear at the Tower Theatre in performance at 7:30. Don’t miss your chance to see the future stars of American Ballet Theatre in a program of fresh new works and timeless classics including Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante and excerpts from Raymonda.

Portable Dance Troupe

This semester the rehearsals will encompass the dances for TALES FROM OVID.
Performing March 27-April 4, 2009

Sara Shelton Mann will be in residence September 23 through September 27.
Generating a new work for the company from the imagery of ruins.
Material from this dance will be incorporated into TALES FROM OVID.

This piece will also be performed at the
Fresno City College Winter Concert.
December 4-7, 2008

Dancers and Physical Actors are encouraged to audition. Rehearsals will take place
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:30 P.M. and will not conflict with main stage productions.

All speaking roles for TALES FROM OVID will audition in January 2009.
