“STORIES OF OUR LIVES” WITH KATHERINE PATERSON

The public is invited to a lecture by author Katherine Paterson entitled “The Stories of Our Lives,”

The lecture is open and free to the general public. Free parking is available in university lots near the theatre.

Katherine Paterson has twice won the John Newbery Medal, given by the America Library Association for the year’s most distinguished contribution to American literature for children, for Bridge to Terabithia and Jacob Have I Loved. Both novels have been made into movies. Paterson’s other titles include Bread and Roses, Too; The Same Stuff as Stars; The Great Gilly Hopkins; Come Sing, Jimmy Jo; Preacher’s Boy; and many more.

Paterson is also the recipient of the 2006 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for children’s literature, given by the Swedish government, and the 1998 Hans Christian Andersen Award, chosen by the International Board on Books for Youth. Her web site is www.terabithia.com.
